After a whirlwind few days in Hanoi we are off to Manila (after a night stop over in Singapore)…

Hanoi has been a city of friendly people, great food and insane traffic… I’m somewhat surprised John hasn’t yet been run down by a stampede of motorbikes given his road crossing reflexes leave a little (lot) to be desired.

Hanoi doesn’t make my or John’s top ten list of places we’ve been – but I fully agree with other visitors that Vietnamese Egg Coffee (coffee topped with egg yolk and sugar beaten to a custard like consistency) is delicious and totally worth the small risk of salmonella poisoning!

We are now nine days into our travel and it’s almost impossible to comprehend the reality that we have another 300 odd days in front of us… so with that said – onto Manila!
